FIRE & SMOKE CURTAINS
Fire curtains are used where, if there is a fire, it is necessary to create a temporary barrier within an opening which seals off the area on fire. The curtain descends automatically and prevents fire and smoke from spreading from one area to another, and also allows people access to protected escape routes without any loss of fire resistance.
BODY CONFIGURATION VARIETY
Either Single membrane or double membrane insulated fire proof curtain fabric can be configurated based on the requirement. Insulated curtains provide heat insulation varies around 55% – 75% between the fire zones based on the surface area of the curtain.
REPORTED & CERTIFIED
Our Fire & Smoke Curtains are tested, reported and certificated by internationa test labs in accordance with BSEN 1634-1: 2008 standartization with duration of 120 – 180 – 240 minutes. Our standart presentation is with natural galvanised color, with hood and motor cover also.
AUTOMATION & APPLICATION
Fire and Smoke Curtains operation timing could be either with the fuse link triggering or central fire system signalisation. Forspecial applications of fire and smoke curtains openning and closing speed could be adjustable by invertors and commanded on PLC Screen optionally.
FINISHING & OPTIONS
Standart surface finishing for guides and cover boxes is natural galvanised color while we can also offer stainless steel finishing, electrostatic powder coating or digital covering for aesthetical concerns based on the projects type. Please ask fort he available fabric colors based on projection terms.
SIDE GUIDES SYSTEM
A side guide system is always fitted and provides a seal between the sides of the curtain fabric and the walls, ensuring that any positive or negative pressures created by a fire will be resisted by the curtain and so that it won’t deflect significantly. Side guides can be integrated either into or onto a wall / soffit or into a recess / niche. Our side guide roller system has been designed to ensure that the curtain will move to its closed position easily even when there are significant air velocities around the curtain.
Roll diameter differs based on total height. Fort his reason net clearence height of the area which is being planned to be protected from fire and smoke risk will determine the dimensions of Rolling box. For about the side guides there are being used two types which have the dimensions of G1 type – 75x75mm and G2 type- 100x75mm. Applications having upto width of 7500mm we mostly prefer A1 type of smaller dimensions. For wider dimensions its been required to pass to G2 type guides to provide the curtain can stay inside the guide against any horizontal forces and deflection also.
